Barnyard Animal Birthday Invitations and Party Idea's
Click here to check out some of the printable animal birthday invitations that I have created, that is if you don't want to make your own...
If you wanted to go all the way, ask the
kids to come in costume - a very simple
costume would be for them to come in overalls (farmer). If you are planning to have this party around spring or summer, GREAT! - Plan to have it outside. That way the kids can run around and play, and if you choose to decorate, then the mess is also mostly outside! Get your hands on some animal teddy bears and place them around the room. You could put some animal pictures on the walls around the room, and perhaps buy an animal piņata - perfect theme for pin the tail on the donkey too! Decorate your tables with red and white checkered table cloths, and have red and white balloons - you could even buy your plastic table ware in red and white also. If you are serving bread/bread rolls, pop them in a basket or two rather than just having them on a plate or a bowl. If you are having this one outside, you could even go as far as getting some small bails of hay - handy little seats, and a great look for a Barnyard animal party! You could also spread out some picnic blankets on the ground, and sprinkle with some hay for a farm look. Instead of Party hats, you could make the kids paper headbands to resemble different animals. Size the child's head and make the headband (coloured paper will do). Add two pink pointy ears for a piggie, two floppy brown ears for a puppy, long pink/white ears for a bunny, yellow feathers for a duck etc. These headbands would also work in well with some face painting.
